Though Kelli Sasser serves as co-Founder, it is truly a team effort for One Hundred Days.  Kelli Sasser says she felt "compelled by Christ" to help the people of Rwanda rebuild their lives. During the Rwandan genocide in 1994, nearly one million people were killed in one hundred days - nearly 20 percent of the country's population. The government and military both supported the genocide, and the small African nation was left in shambles. Fast-forward to 2003, when Rwandan pastor Simon Nziramkenga met Sasser and her husband Scott, a university physician, and explained how access to healthcare was a dire issue. Thus, the nonprofit One Hundred Days was born. While Sasser's focus is on building a hospital in Kigali, her ongoing mission is to provide healing to the people of Rwanda - physically, emotionally and spiritually. Kelli shares, "Almost all of our funding comes from friends and family members who have 'caught a vision' of how we can offer our core values to people who are in life-threatening need. Our core values include trusted partnerships, sustainable solutions, holistic transformation, passionate service and transforming beauty."  She continues, "Friends fueled by trust and friendship have helped build a community - here and in Rwanda. We have had several multi-thousand dollar gifts, but the majority has accrued in very small donations closer to $100. We have raised more than $300,000 and only need about that much more before we're ready to open the doors of the hospital with that being our goal this year. Social Marketing Startup BlogFrog Raises $3.2M

BlogFrog, a self-described “social activation platform,” has raised $3.2 million in a Series A round of funding.

The company was first known as a community for “mommy bloggers”, allowing them to add social features to their sites http://abs-school.net/efforts-to-get-the-current-aviation-degrees-education.html. In the last year or so, however, BlogFrog has shifted direction, using its technology and audience for a new end — helping marketers reach an influential audience.

That doesn’t mean it’s another ad network, says co-founder and CEO Rustin Banks: “We’re basically anti-banner ads.” Instead, it currently offers two products. One creates online communities where fans of a given brand, like this site for KOA campgrounds. The other recruits influential bloggers (Banks says BlogFrog has a database of 65,000) to post on topics related to a campaign, and then include an ad unit at the end with a call to join the conversation. See, for example, this post on the Buried With Children blog for a LEGO campaign.

The round was led by Grotech Ventures, with participation from existing investors, including TechStars founder David Cohen. Banks says the big plan for the money is to “get the word out” — he estimates that the company is only selling 5 percent of the campaigns that it could with the bloggers in its database. Among other things, that means doubling the head count this year and opening an office in New York City.

Many college students report some type of disordered eating ranging from mild dieting to disordered eating and/or clinically diagnosed eating disorders.  According to Princeton University Health Systems, 30% of students experience eating disorder symptoms during their college years.  College administrators report a 24.3% rise in reports of eating disorder behavior among college students (2010 National Survey of Counseling Center Directors).  In August 2010, The National Eating Disorders Association conducted an opt-in study and found that 85% of participating health providers and educators identified their greatest challenge on college campuses as a lack of on-staff dedicated resources.   In an effort to fill the void, augment access to care, and centralize information on US eating disorder treatment centers nationwide, The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness researched and created this national referral guide of U.S. eating disorders treatment centers.
